Ongoing Offerings

Our centre has traditionally offered a rich array of offerings free to the public. No prior meditation experience is required to attend. Meditation instruction is available upon request. All are welcome.

Fresh Start Mondays  (currently available via zoom)

Mondays  7:00 PM to 8:45 PM

Fresh Start Monday is a free open house where new students are introduced to the practice of meditation, along with Shamatha yoga, and walking meditation.  In addition, a short talk or reading is presented and and discussed.

All are welcome!!

Saturday Night Discussion Group  (via Zoom)

Saturdays 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Everyone is welcome to join the Saturday Night Discussion Group.

During this isolation period, we invite you to tune in every Saturday night from 7:30 to 9:00 pm using a Zoom link.  We start with a short meditation, then check-ins from anyone who wants to share. We are flexible on discussion topic – depends where everyone wants to go with that. We hope to see you online!

Saturday Night – Summer Series (via Zoom)

Beginning July 4, 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

We will read and discuss the book “How to Be an Antiracist”  by Ibram X. Kendi.  Because the book study is progressive in nature, participants need to join by the third week – July 18.

Sunday Morning Sitting  (temporarily suspended)

Every Sunday 10.00 AM to Noon

A more traditional meditation period, alternating sitting practice with walking meditation, opening and closing with chants (in English). You are welcome to arrive at any time during this practice session.

Introduction to Meditation  (temporarily suspended)

First Saturday of the month: 9:00 AM to Noon.

We also offer an Introduction to Meditation class the first Saturday of every month.  This class discusses the basics of meditation in a three-hour classroom setting.  Visit our calendar link to find the next Introduction to Meditation class scheduled.  The class is free, although we do request that you register.
