Our centre offers a rich array of weekly ongoing offerings free to the public. No prior meditation experience required to attend. Most programs offer meditation instruction upon request. All are welcome.
Open Public Sitting Hours
We have three open meditation sessions each week, during which a meditation instructor is on duty and can give you basic mediation instruction. Simply arrive during any of the following sessions and ask for meditation instruction.
Sunday Morning Sitting
Every Sunday 10.00 AM to Noon
A more traditional meditation period, alternating sitting practice with walking meditation, opening and closing with chants (in English). You are welcome to arrive at any time during this practice session.
Introduction to Meditation
First Saturday of the month: 9:00 AM to Noon.
We also offer an Introduction to Meditation class the first Saturday of every month. This class discusses the basics of meditation in a three-hour classroom setting. Visit our calendar link to find the next Introduction to Meditation class scheduled. The class is free, although we do request that you register.
Fresh Start Mondays
Please note: We will not be meeting on Monday, Fourth of July.
Mondays 7:00 PM to 8:45 PM
Fresh Start Monday is a free open house where new students are introduced to the practice of meditation, along with Shamatha yoga, and walking meditation. In addition, a short talk or reading is presented and and discussed.
All are welcome!!
Wednesday Book Club

Wednesdays: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Sitting meditation begins at 7 o’clock. Book study and discussion begin at 8 o’clock.
We use an “active learning” format where we read a portion of the book then stop and discuss it before moving on. The goal is to learn not only from the book but also from each other and learn from where we are.
