In Shambhala culture, there are 4 special seasonal holidays each year.  These special days of celebration are called Nyida Days – the word Nyida comes from nyima (“sun”) and dawa (“moon”). Nyida days occur on or near the days of the spring and autumn equinoxes and the summer and winter solstices.

Harvest of Peace, held around the time of the autumn equinox, is an opportunity to gather and celebrate the riches of our local culture and heritage.

Everyone is welcome to join us for this celebration.

Here is the schedule of events:

    • Sitting meditation at 10:30
    • Program at 11:30
    • Pot luck lunch.  Main dishes are provided, you're invited to bring a dish to share.

We hope to see you there!
