Winter Pema Chodron Class: Strength in Vulnerability via ZOOM (part 2)
This is Part 2 of a 2 part series. 6 weekly Tuesdays beginning April 7, 2025.
The Full title of this class is Strength in Vulnerability: Embracing Openness to Transform Obstacles and Difficult Emotions. Once again these are teachings given by Perma Chodron at Gampo Abbey. This time she presents The Mind Training In Eight Verses by Langri Tangpa. For more than forty years, Pema Chödrön has illustrated how Buddhist teachings can help us navigate our lives, our relationships, and the complexities of the modern world. to show us how to identify the deep patterns that keep us stuck, and how we can transform them through the simple yet profound practices of kindness and compassion.
This retreat is intended to help you:
- Become familiar with the earliest formulation of lojong (mind-training) techniques that have been revered and practiced for centuries in and beyond Tibet
- Meet difficulty with courage and confidence, becoming a source of joy for yourself and others.
- Learn to see your biggest challenges as your most potent teacher.
- Discover the well-being that comes from embracing vulnerability.
- Cherish all beings, even the most persistent troublemakers in your life.
- Free yourself from the cycles of aggression, retaliation, and hurt.
Because each talk is 2 hours long, we will divide each, covering each lesson over two weeks. There will be time for conversation at the end of each week.
Open to everyone.
